Description

Here's the 2019 Schedule: 

  • Sunday, July 7: Raghu Dixit. Indian folk-rock dashed with hip-hop. With special guests Crossroads: Jay Ghandi and Yacouba Sissoko.
  • Sunday, July 14: Casuarina. Brazilian Samba. With special guests Eduardo de Carvahlo e Forró de Bom.
  • Wednesday, July 17: The Turbans. London-based world dance music with Flamenco, North African and Balkan elements.
  • Thursday, July 18: “Hamiltunes: An American Singalong.” The official “Hamilton” singalong.
  • Sunday, July 21: Garifuna Collective. Caribbean roots music that features spiritual vocals and traditional instruments – jawbones and turtle shells – alongside guitars and bass. With special guests the Bodoma Garifuna Culture Band.
  • Thursday, July 25: Huntertones. Brooklyn-based sextet fusing jazz, soul, funk and rock.
  • Friday and Saturday, July 26–27: Will Kempe’s Players: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Shakespeare in the park.
  • Sunday, July 28: Seamus Egan Project. Celtic music quartet led by Egan, founder of Solas. With special guest Kevin McKrell.
  • Wednesday, July 31: A Tribute to Nick Brignola. Jazz masters (including bassist John Lockwood, saxophonist Gary Smuylan, trumpeter Joe Magnarelli, drummer David Calarco and pianist Tim Ray) celebrate the late sax-man. With special guests the SUNY Schenectady Faculty Jazz Combo.
  • Friday, Aug. 2: "Woodstock: Three Days that Defined a Generation." Screening of new PBS Documentary by filmmaker Barak Goodman.
  • Sunday, Aug. 4: Thornetta Davis. Detroit’s “Queen of the Blues.” With special guest Tas Cru.
  • Friday, Aug. 9: School of the Performing Arts at Proctors. “A Broadway Cabaret.”
  • Saturday, Aug. 10: The Schenectady Symphony Orchestra. Pops and classical music, including selections from “Hamilton,” “Disney’s Frozen,” “A Star is Born” and other works. With guest vocalist Mia Scirocco.
  • Sunday, Aug. 11: Cimarrón. Colombian Joropo dance music. With special guests Sten & Maria Z.
  • Sunday, Aug. 18: Jupiter & Okwess. Blend of Congolese Rumba and American funk. Special guests TBA.
