Canadian Pacific Holiday Train 2019

By Gladys Dunbar November 21, 2019

The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will set out once again and make a stop at the Capital Region - Saratoga area to bring holiday cheer, entertain hundreds of people, collect food and raise funds for food banks across North America.

The CP Holiday Train is 1,000 feet long, with 14 brightly decorated rail cars. All adorned with thousands of LED lights in various holiday designs. It travels across Canada and the United States to raise money, food, and awareness for food banks and hunger issues.

Performing this year on-board the train is Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Band. His album "A Week at the Warehouse" is filled with country-tinged, radio-ready tunes that bring the flavor of some of Doyle's favorite artists, from John Mellencamp to the Payolas. The concerts are FREE, but the public is encouraged to make a donation to the local food bank—either a non-perishable food item or a cash donation.
