Macaroni Craft: Pom Pom Flag Painting

By Gladys Dunbar November 9, 2016
Here's an easy craft that kids can do in honor of Veteran's Day. Toss the paint brush and make the kids paint with pom poms (or cotton balls) and clothespin to make an American Flag!

What you need:
- Pom Poms
- Blue, Red and White Paint
- White paper
- Optional: White Glue instead of White Paint

How to make the flag:
1. Ask the kids to pinch the pom poms with a clothespin. For toddlers or pre-K you may need to draw lines as a guide.
2. Start painting the upper left side with blue. Let it dry.
3. Stamp red dots following a straight line and leaving some white paper to show underneath.
4. Stamp white dots on the part painted  blue or squeeze white glue to finish your American Flag. Note: white paint dries than white glue.
