FREE Fishing Days in NYS

Family Friendly Events & Activities for Kids in Schenectady County

By Dennis Dunbar June 16, 2016

Growing up I have fond memories of my Dad taking all of us fishing in the summer time to the places that my Grandfather took him. Fishing with my Dad has been a great way to make memories and learn about his past. Being a father now, I look forward to doing the same with my child.

June 25 to 26, 2016 are FREE Fishing Days in New York State. During these days, anyone can fish the fresh or marine waters of New York State and no fishing license or recreational marine fishing registry is required! All other freshwater and saltwater fishing regulations still apply.

So gather the fishing gear, pack lunch, and plan a fishing adventure with the family and take advantage of this annual event.
